I am reluctant to disuss these frequencies again on this site. The only question I have is does VCall use the PL used by all the VTAC frequencies? I have conflicting information on this.
If you are referring to the 800 mhz national mutual aid channels the Call channel and tacs all use the same PL's ...sorry I'm just not sure if thats what you meant when you referred to V call... 8)
From what I have read in some federal & state documents,
the VCALL and UCALL channels are supposed to be carrier squelch,
the VTAC & UTAC channels are supposed to use PL 156.7, and all of the
800 MHz NPSPAC channels are supposed to use PL 156.7.
I've seen various posting re: VCALL/VTAC freqs....and we had some discussions of the SHARES freqs on this board recently. Have you come across any state/local agencies that have, as yet, implemented the VCALL/VTAC freqs? Here in the Maryland area, it appears that they remain a thing of the future, at best.
Thank you. Logic would seem to dictate that the call channel would also have 156.7 as a PL since the actual comms would be on a TAC frequency. But, perhaps, my logic isn't logical. Go figure. Take care.
