Hey gang....

You'd think I would know this, since I used to be one of those headset wearin' types, but I can't for the life of me figure out which TG's correspond with fire tac7, tac8, etc. I know that VECC has the ops 1-9 tg's, but those are normally used for u/c ops. Any clarifications?? Maybe it's just the post op drugs that are fogging my brain cells :)

I have wondered this as well. Someday I plan to check if maybe the TAC channels are the old VHF ones but havent been able to yet. So if anyone has the answer that would be great.

Keep in mind VECC/United Fire sometimes call their Talkgroups different things. Here is a list of what you're looking for:
21152 Unifed Fire/VECC Emergency (this is where you will hear the emergency "man down" if a firefighter pushes his orange emergency button).
21376 Tac 7 (called "Fire 12" by some agencies)
21408 Tac 8
21440 Tac 9
21664 Unified Fire/VECC Fire 6
21760 Unified Fire/VECC Car to Car
21824 Unified Fire Tac/Training
21856 Tac 10
21888 Tac 11

Many individual Fire Departments have training and car to car TGs. I can post them if you are interested.

Here's more for Salt Lake County. Most are confirmed by monitoring or mapping radios. I have never heard WVC Fire on their Fire Tac TGs but they were mapped from a WVC Fire radio.

21696 West Jordan Fire Car to Car
21760 United/VECC Fire Training
21920 Midvale Fire Training/Car to Car
22016 Sandy Fire Stn 31 C2C
24480 West Jordan Fire Training
24512 WVC Fire TAC 1
24544 WVC Fire TAC 2
24576 WVC Fire TAC 3
24608 WVC Fire TAC 4
24640 WVC Fire TAC 5
24704 SLC Fire (airport)
