VECC Response 5

Is TG-21344 used as VECC Response 5 and not VECC response 1??? I heard alot of traffic on this channel yesterday during the super cell storms we had. After things calmed down a little, they said that it had slowed down enough to close that channel and had all remaining units on there switch to resp. 4

21344 is Fire Ch 5. It is primarily used as an overflow TG when Fire 2, 3 and 4 become very busy. This is also true of Fire 6 thru 11 which are used in large fires such as Wasatch Jr when it burned last year.

I think the confusion came during a TG realignment a year or three ago.

Thanks for the info Jon, I had this as UFA Fire Resopnse 1 and not 5.
