• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I recently heard the NHP using 15-156. It was Vegas as the gave a Clark location for a traffic stop. Is the NHP starting to use different talkgroups for their patches?

Have a great day.

NHP patches have been heard with IDs' starting with 15-XXX quite a lot lately. Some are showing 08-XXX also. I usually keep one radio in search mode on the NSRS and other scanning selected IDs' on the system so I don't miss what I want to hear. I would have liked it had the State gone to a Motorola system but logic usually does not prevail in government. Just my thought and comment.

Nhp 05-xx

Most of the time I do hear NHP here but for a few minutes or longer they may switch to a patch with a TG of 15-XXX. They go back and forth so much that common patch TGs' are programmed into my scanners to hopefully I will not miss what I wish to hear.
