Effective April 15, Ventura County Fire began 911 dispatch services for Gold Coast Ambulance, which is the primary (only) ALS provider for the City of Oxnard, and is also the contracted ALS ambulance service for the Port Hueneme / South coast of Ventura Co. area.
Primary unit ID's are MED661, MED662, MED663, MED664, MED665, MED691, MED692, EMS61, EMS62, EMS63. For the most part, you will hear them dispatched on County Fire Ch. 1 [154.0100 / 100.0] solo for calls with Oxnard Fire [154.145 / 141.3].
Gold Coast is retaining its own dispatch center for its BLS/Interfacility Transport business.
Ventura County Fire dispatch now is the primary 911 dispatch center for all ambulance services in Ventura County, per Co. EMSA policy.
