Probably going to need more info to help. Where are you? What do you have for an antenna? What channels/frequencies are you listening to?

I'm new to programming and this was the first time trying this type of system. I downloaded Verdugo from the ICI list.. I did notice some traffic while driving around today.
Question. Will I only hear it if I'm in the area?
Thank you

Your reception will depend on what repeater sites and talk groups you program. Verdugo Fire RED 1 is the dispatch channel and it has lots of traffic.

Your reception quality will also be predicated on your antenna and physical location (especially if you are in a well shielded building.

As a test, you could monitor a Broadcastify Verdugo RED 1 feed on your cell side-by-side with your scanner. NOTE the Broadcastify feed will be out of phase with your scanner reception by a couple of seconds.
