Does anyone know the frequency of the “Red Fireground” channel? It is used mostly in a fire alarm call where they investigate the scene. For example, “ ‘Unit’ is on scene switching to red”.

Red Fireground is 153.830.

BTW, there are several common Fireground channels:
White 154.280
Blue 154.295
Green 150.790

There are others but these are the most common in the Lake County area.

What Rich said ^^^... and you'll also hear Flight-For-Life (now LifeStar) on Green working landing zones.

I recently dusted off my BC296D in Vernon Hills, and did most of the local radio traffic move to starcom? I can pick up the lake county simulcast but obviously only the phase 1 stuff.

Are there still some analog broadcasts here? I thought I heard a car 2 car on the freqs listed for VH admin the other day, but not huge amounts of traffic on analog.

Any recommendations on what to tune into?
