They were pretty long bursts actually got annoying after awhile so took it off scan
So then normal voice traffic on the Mt Pocono site. Remember that many of the old analog VHF PSP channels have been reallocated to the P25 system.

I dont believe the current codeplugs have the old vhf analog channels in it anymore. Only thing that might be analog beside other county interop is the national interop channels.
I asked a trooper, and he assured me that they have retained all their simplex channels and they have an analog backup system in place in case of system outage. Personally, I hate all these Trunking systems. So much that can go afoul.

Lol - In Maryland, we ripped out all the VHF radios and mobile extenders, and exclusively use the 700 statewide mixed simulcast / ASR system and cellular CAD. It works really well. The troopers can use the county systems for backup as almost all are 700 / 800 - save Washington County which is Phase 1 UHF. It helps to have fewer jurisdictions and less land mass to cover, although there are still over 200 RF nodes. I guess what I'm saying is that the advantages - particularly of wide area coverage - outweigh the potential failure modes.

I was told the same thing they have the old system as a backup and I've had activity on several since I've put them back in.
