Low band 75.400MHz from Palmerston North hearing Brisbane Motorway patrols full scale on the "S"meter (OK - 5 bars!) on a Yaesu VR5000 and a discone - big high pressure system mid-Tasman. 2320UTC. Ducting I guess. About 1300miles. All gone by 2330UTC.
