nope

so this system
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=722&opt=all_tg#tgs

One or more sites for this trunking system have gone through the 800 MHz rebanding process. Your scanner may be incompatible, require a firmware update or require special programming to track these sites. Please visit the RR Wiki Rebanding page for additional information.

and this radio
BC245XLT - The RadioReference Wiki

Can be updated to support Rebanding? NO

Analog and APCO-25 Common Air Interface

and the radio does not do digital.

so it looks like it is a no for suffolk
now you could program in the frequencies and listen, just now trunk and hit scan quite a bit.

Yes.

But scanners that do digital trunking are NOT cheap. Plan on spending $300-500.

Ebay, Amazon, other sources.... You could get lucky and find one auction that is not popping and nab a steal, or just outright buy a brand new unit.
Pretty much ANY of the digital capable scanners will work on this system. From the Radio Shack PRO-96, up through the Uniden BCDX36HP family, and Whistler TRX family....
