VHF skip has almost completely shut down our fire/EMS radio operations for the entire county. We have an input of 154.7100 and output of 154.220. It has been constant with no static for 2 days. I have isolated it to "Harrison County" based on what I've heard, but there is a Harrison county in several states. It sounds like a state agency or highway patrol and use many 10-codes. Their signal is activating our repeater and rebroadcasting. Our fire paging system is not working due to interference on the repeater, so FF's are having to listen to open channels all night through police traffic to hear their tones. I hope it goes away soon.

Fayette County, TN (approx 20 miles from Memphis, TN)

The Harrison County Sheriff in Marshall, Texas is the only thing I have been able to locate. Seems very far (about 393 miles) but it's possible I guess.

They have an input of 154.710 for their dispatch.

one of our local fire channels here has an output of 154.995 and an input of 159.405 which so happens to also be the output frequency of Boliver Missouri Sheriff's Department....Therefore some night, well most night it's almost constant and clear.. Clear enough that it blocks out fire comms out, it's the same scenerio going on in fayette TN sounds like.. It's not bad during the day but at night, sheesh! And they're almost 250 miles away to the NW and that's in the hilly terrain so all in all it's possible..

On one of the other fire channels output of 154.445 and input of 151.025 we hear a lot of the time, Troy Fire Department Pager Test, Obion County 911 Clear, This is the NE corner of TN almost KY line...Looking it up they don't even have that freqeuncy listed on the license they give out after the pager test...Either one of them, It's something totally different but it comes in clear as bell tone and all every monday night..That is the strange part. None of their frequencies match up to anything I'm hearing them on here but they're coming through loud and clear every week...

The PL tone matches, too. Both Fayette County, TN and Harrison County Sheriff use a PL of 162.2 Hz on 154.71 MHz.
