Vhf high band log/opening

its that time of year here on the east coast hot days cold nights sets up for great ducting.

from my house old lyme ct discone antenna in the attic motorola xpr4550 setup on RR channels
9/11 about 9:45p heard septa on aar 16 and 18 160.350mhz and 160.380mhz

on channel 18 heard some kind of data burst with it

Nice catch. Cycle 25 is near peak so you may get a lot of that.

Thanks for the reminder, have to get back to the shack and catch some VHF/UHF DX. Maybe even some TV DX.

nice there is always seems to be a duct that forms omn the atlantic from NJ to here in CT. in the past from my mobile i worked in the cape may 900mhz machine and also worked 52 simplex into jersey

Lots of DX this morNing on Cape Cod. The WX band was jammed.
162.400 - Cape May NJ
162.450 - Howell NJ
162.525 - Virginia. Which one? No ID!

Also low band too. Oh and just below 30Mhz at 25.695 possibly German?

The VA one may have been in Accomack county just down the coast from Howell NJ

162.400 is actually from Atlantic City not Cape May
162.525 is Accomack, VA
