Yes, cut for 40 MHz and up about 30 ft. Been using dipoles for HF and low band for about 35 years or so. There are better antennas (e.g. log periodic) but can't beat a dipole for price and ease of installation. I am using a square loop for six meters.

what kind of dipole are you using - homemade ????

On your 42.18 Omaha Dispatch, those are the mobiles. The dispatch freq is 42.34. So...good catches!
