i know about thoses this is a map of all the noaa wx transmiters and there power out/freq kinda neat,

Nice to have this. I use NOAA WX stations to let me know if 2 metres is open and to which direction.

thanks i use noaa also to if and where hi band/uhf milair is open to.i belive that poster can be ordered from noaa.

Wouldn't just listening to the broadcast for a couple minutes to catch the callsign and location work too? If you can hear it, then you'll know where it is relative to your location.
