Currently, I am receiving the Kentucky State Police loud and clear here in Michigan, on 460.2375 MHz, in P25 mode. Also, plenty of activity on VHF from down in W. Virginia and Kentucky coming in loud and clear on 154.010 through 162.55 MHz. Additional, I am also hearing the West Viginia statewide P25 TRS here as well.

154.430 - Oak Grove Fire
154.250 - Mason Fire 1600
154.190 - Station 440 (Genoa?) on a call State Route 3 South

I am using a discone up around 25-30'. It's feed with Belden 9913 and uses Type-N connectors. Apparently, this must be a case of some good Tropo ducting.

Better late than never, I know...Your Oak Grove FD on 154.430 is in Whitley Co, KY, which borders TN along I-75. I travel to that area once or twice a year & thought it sounded familiar....
