What is the proper channel name or rather, better identifying name for AAR63 Standby 160.185?

Was in the Merrickville area over the weekend and was able to hear activity on this channel. I have it listed under VIA Rail.

Mention of a trespasser somewhere. I believe they said around Brockville or Prescott?

There was no listing in the TAFL frequency search that I could find.

Is there a universal channel list somewheres? The database is a little bit convoluted.

Yes it is, I'll try my best with my understanding and reserve the right to be wrong. :)
There are about 100 channels on a trains radio. These are used throughout North America. AAR has assigned a frequency reserved for railroad use to each channel. But.... CN might take some of those to use themselves, but assign their own channel numbers to the frequencies, CP the same, VIA......
Some may be used across Canada, some just in certain areas.
Canadian Trackside Guide likely explains it better and they also have frequencies listed that are used by area and what their used for.

If you don't want specific locations, this may work for you.

Around the Toronto area we have many NXDN digital Railway channels in use.
