FYI for those who commute through Denver Monday May 9th...

Vice President Dick Cheney will visit Denver Monday to speak at a luncheon for Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, who recently was rated one of the 10 most vulnerable GOP representatives in the country.

She's one of two Colorado Republicans on the party's list, along with Rep. Bob Beauprez of Arvada.

The vice president will return to Colorado on June 1 to speak at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony.

Cheney was last in Colorado on the eve of election day in November for last-minute campaigning. His daughter, Mary, lives in Conifer, Colo.

There are no more tickets available for the Monday luncheon.

Where is Cheneys' luncheon at? I really need to know, so I can be sure to go nowhere near it  .

Jerry, I haven't heard as of yet - I'm assuming downtown as that is where it usually takes place other than the "Wings Over The Rockies" in the old Lowry development.

Actually, if it's during the day, it wont affect me because I will be at work. If it is downtown, I can monitor the hotel staff etc. 8)

Anyone else get held up because of the VP's motorcade this morning ?

I was just getting onto the on-ramp from Quebec to west bound 70 when traffic came to a stop and I noticed a motor-cycle officer stopping traffic. Then a few minutes later, I seen all the red and blue lights coming down 70 towards downtown.

It was interesting to see 2 ambulances, one in front and the other in the rear of the motorcade.
