Hello everyone,
I hope that someone who has experienced this problem can help me with this.
Here's the deal - I bought a Sony HD video camera around Christmastime, and it records in AVC HD, producing file names with the ending .MTS
From what I understand this is a proprietary format created by Sony. The software that they provide for video conversion is not compatible with Macintosh, which I happen to be running.
I was wondering if anyone has ever had to convert Sony AVCHD files into ones that are readable by all computers, and what the best codec (the least lossy one) is to use in order to maintain the HD resolution.
Thanks in advance for the help!
