I was blessed with a gift this week. A friend of mine gave me a brand spanking new Dell Optiplex 755 full size tower. It was still in the box sitting around in his work place, getting ready to be tossed. Yeah, I know, but some companies have money to burn like that. Now, the computer is 2 years old, but NEVER used. I know this because the original plastic and tape tape was still in tact, as were all the original accesories. So, this being a business machine, it will not do as is, for my digital recording needs. I have upgraded the ram to 8GB. I am in the process of upgrading the video and audio cards. Here is my question: Do I need to disable anything in the bios when installing a new video or audio card to avoid software conflicts? The new video card is a dual DVI. I plan to use it with 2 monitors. Now, if I DON'T have to disable it, can I still use the original VGA output and add a 3rd monitor?

u should ( not totally positive on this, as various card makers and brand do different things ) be able to use the 3 outputs all together.....

being its a newer Dell it will automatically pick up the card and disable the IGP Chipset video on its own, but if for nit-picky ones, you can also force it to the card in BIOS, but id just leave it on automatic
