Vilonia Arkansas fire department went digital, does anybody know the new frequency

My guess would be they either changed to DMR or moved to the AWIN trunked system.

RRDB has one DMR conventional frequency & two TGIDs listed as "Fire Southeast" & shared with surrounding communities. You'll need a DMR capable receiver to bring them in

All fire depts in Faulkner county went to DMR/MotoTrbo. The only analog channel in the county that can be heard is the paging repeater.
There are three talk groups per repeater. for a total of 12 DMR talk groups for the county.

Thank you for the info. I have a whistler TRX-2 which shouldn't be a problem. Are there differences between antennas, do you need a certain kind of antenna to pick up DMR. Thank you

An antenna doesn't care what voice mode a transmission is. Focus on band. If the stock antenna doesn't do the job, pick up an antenna which covers VHF
