Hello,
I'm looking for the frequency for the Vilonia PD. I know they were dispatched thru Greenbrier but I think something has changed.

Thank you!

I can get the talk groups for the Greenbrier dispatch (19405) but Vilonia is not being dispatched. I also have the 155.1225 and its all crickets.
Thank You

I looked through the FCC data for Vilonia. It appears that they are licensed for both DMR and NXDN. Not sure which scanner you're using, but try leaving all digital settings open as a wildcard on 155.1225 MHz and see what results pop up. Also give 156.210 a try.

Database entry is confusing. No conventional police frequency(ies) is (are) listed for Greenbrier (only Fire & water commission) though the DB states Vilonia "also uses CWIN" If they've migrated here primarily, perhaps they've gone encrypted? All known law enforcement talkgroups on the afore-linked system are fully encrypted (mode "TE")

Vilonia

Police for Guy, Vilonia, Damascus, Mayflower and Quitman are dispatched by Greenbrier on its frequency.

I have heard them on their DMR channel before but it's been a while since I've been through there. Could be they're using NXDN but I know I heard them on DMR in the past. Could monitor in analog NFM mode with no tone and see if you hear the digital noise.

The TG you referenced is their TG on AWIN but the database says they also use CWIN. I am not sure if that is accurate or not. It also has a note that says that "Police for Guy, Vilonia, Damascus, Mayflower and Quitman are dispatched by Greenbrier on its frequency." Yet there is no 'frequency' listed for Greenbrier law enforcement. There is a TG on AWIN (which you referenced) but no 'frequency'. So, either that's poor wording or something changed.

OK, I'm using a trx-2, Not new to scanners but new to talk groups.

@03msc - nope. @55Edward may have more info
City of Vilonia PD does use the VHF frequency of 155.1125 (frequency is wrong in the data base and I think the radios them self are programmed wrong.) They do use GPS location on the VHF Slot 2 to track the vehicles and handhelds.
They are in the process of getting AWIN (7/800) radios and will migrate to the Greenbrier channel for communications once those are in place.
Once that happens they will still have the VHF for backup purposes in case AWIN goes down or other needs arise.

I still have a scanner that listens to the Vilonia PD VHF DMR side and they are in the clear.
I have heard some radio tests on the 19405 talk group from Vilonia. Some of Vilonia's traffic has been heard on the 19402 channel as well as a few others
Nothing is encrypted as of yet and lets hope it stays that way.

@55Edward - if they are using 155.1125 they are operating illegally as the license says 155.1225...which can happen...Just wanted to verify what yu are implying...

Thank you for the info, I tried to input 155.1125 and the scanner kicks it to 155.1150. I have both 19402 and 19405, I hear greenbrier but that's about it.

Not a problem they will eventually move to the 19405 TG full time.

I am not sure. That is the frequency that decodes it the best on my scanner. I am using a BCD436HP. Not sure if for some reason its off frequency or what. I have not dove that deep into those type of things. I will try to start listening more on the AWIN Talkgroups and see if i hear them and monitor the VHF more close.

Just an update for the Vilonia PD question. They are on the AWIN system full time with the Talk group 53792 utilizing Phase 2 voice.
The VHF DMR repeater will be used as a backup in the event that AWIN goes down.
Submission into the RRDB was done.

The county page shows Vilonia also on the COnway CWIN system - is that correct still?

No they do not use the CWIN System. The only ones that really share that system are as far as I know are the Sheriffs office and city of conway PD does use the FauDis AWIN talk group.
Thank you 55Edward, I've been looking for this Talk group for 2 years, and it works.
Not a problem. That talk group just came online in the last few months or so.
