I heard that today as well - 45 minutes north of you. Talkgroup 748. Did not catch enough traffic to determine usage. He was talking to a female dispatch. I caught it as he was about to "set her down". Definitely helo, and not your "normal" traffic.

Be prepared to hear all types of conversations on the analog statewide
events TGs Alpha-Delta...I have heard everything from local Wake Co
PDs doing undercover investigations to Federal agencies doing investigations to NG training exercises.
Heck, I even have these TGs in my city issued XTS5K.
Users are supposed to coordinate with state EOC before keying
up for the 1st time but I know that does not always happen like it should.
I would always keep them in a scan list/system being scanned as you never know what you might hear.

Hey Marshall - Just a quick thanks for the heads up on these analog TG's. I had overlooked them when I last programmed my PRO-164 so long ago but at your suggestion put them in last night and am getting a bunch of new and interesting traffic. Good fun!
