Coming back from Charlotte one night last week, I heard an unknown unit call out on a traffic stop on the 15051 talkgroup while passing through Lexington. The location given was Salisbury St. and Bingham St. and that is in Denton. Since Denton is dispatched by Davidson County and since the department has less than 10 officers, I am confident that the talkgroup is Denton PD Dispatch. They had been on 460.500 mhz with a PL of 88.5 but regardless of where they're at, they generate very little radio traffic.

Agreed, the only thing I shouldve done was fired up a UHF rcvr and plugged in Dentons UHF frequency, if I had done that and heard the same traffic on both, then it would have went right to the submission page. But since I didnt have a chance to do " due diligence" (being verify against UHF, in this case). I figured best to toss it in the forum thread for others to take a listen and comment upon their findings.

Did not realize until looking at the discussions you referenced with your links that Phase II FCC licenses were issued before and the screen shot I posted was a modification to the already existing license. Thanks for posting what you did.....seems like the ship is headed in the direction of Phase II. Glad I have a Pro-668 already....

Just another example of why this forum is so awesome ....people like you sharing facts !

Thanks again for responding.

Does anyone have a map of all the tower locations? Trying to figure out which one is closet to my location.

Has anyone in the Duplin County area found any new talkgroups for Duplin County Fire Ops ?
Heard that they were going to start using Viper this week for their fire operations and also some new VHF frequencies.

Greenville PD Channel 3

I've been listening to the Greenville VIPER tower for some time now and have been stumped trying to locate the Greenville PD Channel 3. It has to be a T/A channel since I don't see any traffic on those RID's on VIPER, but I have not been able to track the freq down. Anyone in the Greenville area have any ideas?

TG # 37569

Channel 1/Dispatch: 37564
Channel 2: 37566
Channel 3: 37569
Channel 4: 37562

They are all in the database but labeled as "Admin" "Common" etc. I figured them out from listening to units say "go to 4" or "go to 2" etc and taking note of where they ended up.

Thanks Gamecock. My thought was it had to be 37569 but several times last night (and over the past two weeks) I heard "go to 3" and watched in unitrunker those RID's logoff Chan 1, Login Chan 2 then Logoff Chan 2, clearly switching the channel on their radios. But there was no traffic across the network on 37569. I have heard traffic on that TG before but have never ID'd what they actually called the channel. I heard Animal Control 37565 referred to as Chan 5.

I will keep listening and watching, especially 37569. My thought yesterday was that they may be using those National Interop freq's (7Call, 7Tac) as T/A channels 769.24375, 769.64375, 773.25625, 773.60625 but i heard nothing on those all day.

I had turned on my scanner to get those TGs for you and left it on afterwards, and actually heard someone say "go to 3" and then never heard voice traffic on 37569 myself. I swear they used to use that TG. I also heard Ayden PD switch to channel 2 and wasn't able to track that. The scanner is not even hitting on an encrypted TG when they switch, so I'm not sure what's up.

I'll read my dept radio this week and let you know the TG ids for all our channels :) Also we pretty often use some of the Statewide Event talkgroups. Many agencies in the state use the Event talkgroups.
