Evening All,
By the looks of my email/PM inbox looks like some of you folks are wondering what is going on with the VIPER Wake Simulcast Control Channels. This thread is to help clarify what is going on. 1st and foremost is a piece of advice from my favorite Sci-Fi series:

(You gotta admit Zaphod Beeblebrox is one hip dude).

Anyway, relax all is well with the CCs. An adjustment was made in an attempt to mitigate some interference from ducting sites into the system. For those of you who have Control Channel Trunking capable scanners make the following adjustments to your Control Channels:

  • 868.150Mhz =Primary Control Channel
  • 868.5375Mhz= Primary Alternate Control Channel
  • 868.5625Mhz= Backup Alternate Control Channel
  • 868.7875Mhz= Backup Alternate Control Channel

As I type this the current CC is 868.5625Mhz which is normal. There will be some rotation between the CCs but the main change is that the old Primary CC of 868.7875 is now a backup CC only.

I have already made adjustments in the VIPER database listing so that those of you with HomePatrols or GRE PSR 700/800 you should see the changes during the next database pull.

If you really get stuck and need help with this minor adjustment email/PM me directly
and I will help you out.

Thanks for reading and Happy Monitoring!
