Currently I can hear tones, but I cannot hear whats getting toned out (after the tones i hear static) I dont really care what is being said after the tones have gone out and the dispatcher has said whats up.

Notice in the far right column of the entry the word "Telm" which I'm sure stands for telemetry. That means no voice, just funny sounds. Possibly intended for alphanumerica pagers. I'm sure that someone from V.Beach will see this and be able to be more specific.

The 154.370 frequency is used primarily for digital paging. While each fire unit in the city has a digital pager assigned to them, this frequency is not used as the alerting mode for the stations themselves. For the station alerting function, the stations have a ZETRON box that operates over the city's trunked radio system. As a backup, each station also has a pager connected to the station bells that operates on the 154.370 frequency in analog mode. The backup is only used if the dispatcher can not get an proper response back from the station's ZETRON box when a call is dispatched.

Sorry for being such a noob, but this means I cannot program my Pro-162 right for virginia beach unless its a "backup" right?
