Hey folks -
Anyone got an idea how to fix this? I installed Virtual Audio Cable on my Asus eee 1201N netbook recently so I can mess with my SDR. I've learned that somehow the drivers have taken over control of my Fn+11/Fn+12 keys (Asus's volume control down/up keys) so that the keys control the volume of VAC, not of my machine's speakers.

I've tried resetting the default device & default communications device in sound properties, opened the VAC control panel ("volume control" is not checked there) and looked at several other options but nothing seems to change my volume controls back to handling the computer speakers.

When I click on the speaker, I get two volume controls - the one for the speakers and the one for the VAC installation. Pressing Fn+F11/Fn+F12 makes the slider for the VAC installation go up & down. I've tried right-clicking and changing the "Volume Control Options", to remove the slider for the VAC installation, but even then, the keys still control it, not the speakers.

This is the Win7 (x64 Ultimate) volume control I'm talking about, not any external application. Also, I tried to install/reinstall the Asus eee "Hotkeys" application that controls such keys but that didn't do anything either.

Any help is greatly appreciated, for otherwise, I'm having to click and open the slider, then move it around, in order to change volume, rather than just a quick keypress.

Thanks!
