OK, thx.

What does the "tsbks" value represent when decoding?

Does the program output reception history to a log file?

How do I setup Wireshark to analyze the control channel data stream?

TSBK's are individual "trunk signaling blocks" or packets of data that convey things like group voice channel grants, group voice channel updates and the like. Essentially once you are tuned to a control channel you should see this counter rolling as signaling info is received and reconstructed from the p25 decoder.

By increasing the value of the -v parameter you can control the detail level of the stderr.2 log file. The range is presently 0 (silent) to 11 (maximum debug) with "1" being a good number to simply monitor the history of what op25 has been tuning in to.

Wireshark is not presently operable - the wireshark decoder is out of date and does not function correctly. If you'd like to see P25 protocol exchange, turn the log level up to 10. (-v 10)

When I add the -v option, any value more than 4 creates a bunch of garbage to be written to the screen. Where does the stderr.2 log file reside?

You have to redirect the stdout and stderr to a file. See the bold bit below.

./rx.py --nocrypt --args "rtl=0" --gains 'lna:36' -O 'default' -S 960000 -q 0 -d 0 -v 1 -2 -V -U -T trunk-test.tsv 2> stderr.2

The stderr.2 file (or whatever you name it) ends up in the current directory (usually ./apps)

<f>req button

Has the <f>req button been disfuncticated, I thought a couple months ago i could just scoot around control channels using that button?

Does OP25 have a "wildcard" search logic in the whitelist? In other words, if I wanted to scan TG between 7500 to 7599, could I make a single entry like 75** in the whitelist?

No, nothing like that at present, but it's an interesting idea.

Sounds like a bug. I'll look more later.

It was a bug and if you pull an update it should now be fixed. Word of caution: it's not very graceful and has potentially unexpected behavior if you tune to a new frequency while trunking is active.

Is there a procedure to follow to update, or do you use the OS's built in update function?

I've implemented a way to specify ranges of tgid in the blacklist and whitelist files. The format is backward compatible with existing single entry tgid numbers and uses a tab separator similar to the other config files.

e.g.
Code:
11515	11520
11521
11527
11528

This would result in the following tgid's being set in the list: 11515, 11516. 11517, 11518, 11519, 11520, 11521, 11527, 11528

NOTE: The numeric in the second column must be greater than the first column in order for a range to be created.

NIce! I’ll be testing this feature over the next few days. Thanks for the dev.

Has anyone else had an issue where OP25 just randomly stops outputting audio requiring a restart? It usually will last a couple of hours but then randomly will stop outputting any audio, yet i can see it following the voice channels and working correctly from the command window.

I have it setup so that the audio is out putting to an alsa SND-ALOOP to darkice and then to Broadcastify, restarting Darkice does not resolve the issue, its only when i restart OP25 that the audio returns. I will have a Log file in the next few hours since i have had to reset it again.

Seen that on a RPi3 but not a regular intel box.
