Can Visalia PD channels be heard from a handheld scanner in Fresno?
If that handheld is hooked up to an outside antenna...probably.

Iam in bakersfield(60 miles to the south) and i get vis pd (scantenna and a bit of luck!!!)
stupid thing about it is i cant get vis pd but not the tulare county so, i get the tcfd....
and yes they do use some odd codes like (code 30) if i was listening to the kern so or bakersfield pd , that means something like Emergency situation clear, part of the code 33 Emergency radio traffic only say a foot chase or a shooting, but vis pd it means something very different and i dont know what....

Visalia PD Codes
"Check 1", "Check 2", etc. are the disposition codes used upon completion of their assigned call. I'm not sure what each translates to, but I'm sure they're the usual GOA, UTL, REPORT, QUESTIONED & RELEASED, etc. Visalia has MDTs now, so they must be getting lazy asking their Dispatcher to dispo their calls, or don't have an MDC in their car.

Code 32=Subject has warrant(s)
