We'll be visiting the town of Ellington in Tolland County, Connecticut and there abouts.

Do you have any recommend listening I can monitor from there?

Under the Tolland County Mutual Aid (Station TN) section on this site, I see mostly Fire channels listed.

www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=310

I think this is a Fire/EMS channel.

153.75500 WQBP350 BM VHF Link to 33.8 MHz (Ellington)

For the town of Ellington I only see two channels, school buses and public works.

I didn't see any normal Sheriff Dispatch, etc., channels servicing this area.

I would like to know all Sheriff channels for the town of Ellington, including: Tactical, SWAT, Vice, Detective, FBI, etc. all the nice "hot" things we're accustomed to listening to at home in our big city that have plenty of action when they're not encrypted. Can you recommend anything along those lines?

I assume they don't have a local town PD and are serviced by the Sheriff Department.

I have a RS Pro 96 running Starsoft Win96 using the normal stock antenna and a back up 800 MHz antenna from RS. I may also have possible access to a Pro 97 and Pro 95.

With all due respect, I'm not interested in EMS/Fire, if you have any recommended listening in the area for the beginner with basic antenna or Starsoft Win96 files, please feel free to post, otherwise I'm stuck watching home movies, etc. Thanks

Most towns in that area use State Police Troop C for police coverage. I can send you a Win96 file for CSP if you want to send a private message with your e-mail address.

The do have a local PD that is led by a resident trooper. Other than listening to CSP Troop C, Ellington also uses;

453.52500 100.0 PL Town Officers, Public Works FM Law Dispatch

for it's local police communications.

Hope this helps
