VLF hopping tonight

VLF is showing numerous carriers tonight, starting around 19.8 kHz (NWC)

Interesting, are you able to ID any of the signals? I get a few down here too, like Cutler on 24, WWVB on 60, and I just noticed DCF77 from Germany on 77.5 the other night.

Has anyone from the US heard the special SAQ transmissions on 17.2? I wonder if it's possible to receive it here? Looks like they will be on Christmas Eve, I might have a go at it:

I can get an S2 or 3 on WWVB, how am I doing down there?

Broadcast stations on 189 and 198kHz right now, rough copy though. Hard to ID either one...... many NDBs tonight also.
This is my first LW broadcast station if it's legit.

Also hearing strong data signals on 24 (Cutler?), 40(ish), 72(ish) and 88(ish) along with the ever present WWVB at 60

Probably Iceland. Try to compare the audio you hear with RAS 1 or RAS 2 here:

from what I can tell the RAS 2 link is playing the same audio. Thanks for the link!

Edit: now it's starting to clear up. definitely Iceland. Not bad for 300Kw
