Forigive me if this has been covered before...

I am experimenting around with UT, and notice something strange. I am scanning the Progress Energy system, a 900 mhz 45 site motorola.

I can pick up a few control channels for the system, each identifying the system with the proper ID, and showing the cell ID as well. However, I notice that the frequency list does not update correctly according to the voice freqs used by the corresponding cell. The control channel changes color (active=red), then the previously heard control channels for that system are brown... even though they are for other cells. Active voice channels also don't change; freqs for other cells are also still displayed.

Am I interpreting this right? I hope there is a way to have only data pertaining to the active cell be displayed instead of system-wide data.

While running Unitrunker, If you tune in to one control channel and then jump to another - the program will start adding new channels to the old system or site before it realizes that you've switched to a new system or site.

Switching from one site to another isn't so bad since it's only spurious channels that are displayed. Switching from one system to another is more problematic because you may have "polluted" the former system with TGs and RIDs from the second system.

Usually the program figures out that the system being monitored has changed and shift gears to display the correct system.

Work arounds are (1) shut down the program before switching channels - then start it back up or (2) unplug the discriminator tap - let the decode rate drop to zero. Then you can switch channels and plug it back into the radio.

I've added code to cope with jumping from one sytem to another but it isn't as robust as I'd like.
