Hello, I recently got a Uniden TrunkTracker III scanner and the volume is just a golden half stick, it makes it difficult to turn the volume up and down gently, when I try it will often go too high or too low and it is getting annoying, not sure if the previous owner maybe broke/removed the volume knob. If that is the case where can I find/purchase a new one?
Thanks
Nick

It sure is missing the knob. i know on some older radios these can be lose and did fall off in the shipping box.

Did you purchase this scanner from Ebay? If so was this damage listed and if not would try to return it as not as listed

Crazy leap to a solution. Sounds like a lot of work and loss of use of the scanner.

The knob is a minor fix, barely affects intended use. OP is on correct path of sourcing replacement for a couple bucks.

We have limited options here due to the age of the model. The option through us would be sending the unit in for service, if you're looking to ge the knob fixed, as we do not have the needed part availble for sale.

Another option would be contacting Bearcat Warehouse to see if they have the needed part available as well. Their phone number is 877-568-7226.

There seems to be a few knobs on EBAY but you would want the correct part number if Uniden has that information. It would be far cheaper than the $70 or so that Uniden wants for sending in a scanner for repair to replace a knob. I guess though, if you had a stash of knobs, you would rather sell them for $50 rather than $5...
