Voorhees PD made the switch this morning to Camden County Police Central Dispatch. They are still operating on VTPD channel 1 (155.745/PL 203.5). The dispatcher is now referred to as "Central" and not "Dispatch".

Will they switch over to a central zone at all or just stay put on there on channel
Don't know the answer to that question but they are probably too busy a department to go over to a zone. Plus they would need to replace all portable radios. And car radios if they do not have UHF in the vehicles.
An interesting observation:
County police central dispatch is most likely using a consolette that transmits on the input to the 155.745 repeater. (input is 154.845) So the dispatcher is acting like a mobile on the repeater. So you can hear both Central dispatch and mobiles (if close enough) on the input freq.

Yes Joe - consolettes are commonly used as control stations in a dispatch environment.

Maybe just my imagination, but since about a month ago, overall reception quality for Voorhees has deteriorated.
One or two mobiles sound like CBers with amplified mikes (highly overmodulated). Some have low audio; others muffled.
Wouldn't mind getting rid of the squelch tails.

Vorhees has sounded terrible for years. I would have some serious issues with their radio vendor if I had to deal with that channel every day.

Yes but I have to say both central and the patrol units sound slightly better since the switchover to county.
Perhaps slightly.
