VPS Division one conventional

I noticed today that the Channel-2 (158.985) conventional patch to STARS is back up and running after being down for a like eight months. But now I can only hear the dispatch side of conversations on the Channel-1 (159.000) patch. I hear everything just fine on STARS with my PSR-500, but for whatever reason mobile units are not being rebroadcast on conventional Channel-1. Has anyone else noticed this?

I noticed this last night and it royally sucked as I was stuck in a car with only conventional. My car has STARS, but it is in the shop...anyway, I ended up only being able to hear the dispatcher. Most inconvenient when one of the other units got into a bind and I had to hear about it from the dispatcher instead of direct.

I called division via public service and asked if the patch could be brought back up...sounds like it has been.

Good to hear that although you were put and an unfortunate (and possibly dangerous) situation that it was able to resolved.

I thought I'd bump this instead of starting a new thread. I've been unable to hear legacy Ch. 1 since yesterday (9-25) and I'm fairly certain I was listening to it the day before.

I'll admit I haven't really been paying attention, but when is the legacy stuff going to be gone completely, or what's the deal with that?

Hello, In 2 days I have not heard a thing from Richmond Div -- not on 159.000 & not on 158.985 either. Not a single peep! I am, however, still receiving Appomattox, Fairfax & Chesapeake divisions on 159.135 & 159.165.

I was just getting ready to post my concern when I found your post. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my radio. But apparently Division 1 has dropped the analog simulcast altogether (???).

Can someone with an inside scoop please advise on this?

The patch to the legacy system isn't gone forever. I have been on leave, but I THINK the radio techs have been working to rectify whatever problem it is. It isn't an intentional severing of the patch...leastways- no one told me about it
