• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

vx 150 ham radio with the origional charger how long do u charge that battery for ??? esp for the 1st time.
The NC-72B charger is a 12 hour charger. So you'll want to charge the FNB-64
battery pack for 12 hours each time, but the company suggests for the first charge,
to charge it overnight for 14-16 hours to properly initialize it.

I got this info simply by using that thing called google

You should be fine. I think the 1st time I charged mine was only 8 hours and I've never had a problem with it. Had mine for 5 years now and never had a battery problem. Great radio you went with.
