I have a VX-3000V VHF that has a small problem. I am in need of a service manual, but may be able to handle this without it. On the board, back by the external speaker jack is a 2200mf capacitor. In between the capacitor and where the main pos/neg power leads go into the board is something that has fried. The radio however, still works. it has full power out and receives fine, but I want to replace this part, but cannot identify it as it is smoked. It is a small cylindrical part that goes between the two yellow leads coming off of the capacitor.
I have never programmed a VX-3000 so any tips appreciated. I am able to program, but it is pretty basic so far.
Thanks,
Mike
