I have a lot of hand held radios, and the one I like the best is the vx6.

It is my take everywhere, never leave home with out it radio.

I modded it, and it will do 2,6, 220, and 440.

Best receive of any of my HT's.

Just my opinion.

Just how well does the VX-6R work transmitting on 6m? I can see modding a radio to open the entire VHF hi band or UHF commercial range but a radio that is advertised with a low end of 2M working reliably at 50MHz? Has anyone put one on a service monitor to see if there are any surprises on 6M?
