It is interesting because the FCC basically sold off most of the C-band downlink band for terrestrial cell phone use and is paying billions and billions of our tax $$ to try and compensate satellite broadcasters for the loss of spectrum. Its a brilliant plan, if your a complete moron like the people at FCC.

The feds have NEVER done anything right but can sure blow tax payer money on a whim. Why compensate? If they rebanded and took away from satellite broadcasters to give to cell phone companies, oh well. Move on.
