WACARS

Is anyone in the state activley listening to WACRS?
I've been trying to make a map of this region in WACRS, but it isnt too easy.
Does any good coordinates for a map of our region?
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

WACARS is a windows based ACARS decoding package; AFAIK it hasn't been supported in a number of years, tho and there are other packages that do this, such as ACARSD (which is actually written in tck/tl but works just fine under Windows).

I would suggest jumping to the ACARS forums on either Yahoo or qth.net for additional support. Here are just 2 examples;

Those two links answered alot of questions about ACARS.
You are right, the ARCARSD program runs very well and certaily has more functions and suppot than I've found for the WACARS .7 ver.
Still in the learning mode on this. Program works great with the PRO-2022.
I tried the ACARSD with the 2052 in the 130MHZ range, and got fewer results using the same antenna.
( Wonder what that's all about )
Another project is working on the software for WXSAT and a few others.
I've got another "home brew " HF 100' longwire design assembled in the garage and goes up tomorrow morning. Will be in the test phase for the next week. It will repalce a 60' random wire that has worked well for a couple of years, but the DX bug has finally got me on the roof, spring cleaning and rethinking this years.
