• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Interesting, will have to read that a bit more.

Lacy Lakeview, Bellmead, Robinson, West & Hewitt are Narrowbanding now. Mcgreggor will eventually. ALL Fire departments in Mclennan Co. have Digital Capabilities with Mclennan County. (One Radio per Department). It might be that Mclennan County and TSTC are in the initial stages of Putting into action County wide use of V/U-Call Inop. the Plan (as I have heard it) is 155.3700 & 154.9500 will become routine DPS frequencies. The 5 VHF Frequencies dubbed V-Call & V-Tac will become what we Call Inter-City today. of course many people DO NOT believe this to happen for another 5 to 10 years.

Nice PDF. Good Hunting, had to put a www in there to get it to come up though.
