Yep, the waiting part is the hardest part of the whole thing. It's been 7 work days since you took the test so I think about now is when you should start looking for the notification. It depends a lot on exactly when and how the test results were sent in. Something like a week to 10 (work days) is reasonable.
Not exactly any help in the waiting part, huh?

Yeah, it's strange. I passed my General exam Thursday (02/21) night and my upgrade was posted yesterday afternoon (02/26). I guess it just depends on the data entry person's workload.

The waiting is the worst part! But hey, at least you only have to wait a few days. When I passed my test in late 1994, I had to wait almost 3 months to get my license in the mail before I could get on the air. Talk about a long 3 months!

Congrats on passing your test! Have fun on the air!

Congrats on the upgrade. If your VEs were W5YI they could have hand carried the results the next day to the Arlington office. That's how my group does it.

Congrats. I am in the same boat. Passed on 2/24. I don't see why in the information age that some of us have to wait on our tests to be snail mailed to Connecticut. I just want to get on the air also. Oh well, back to waiting...

Thanks Mike!! I'm gonna wait a little while then maybe go after my Extra upgrade. Gonna become a VE first to help my club out.

I agree I will definitely get my Extra but my brain is still on overload from studying for the tech and General. I hope we all get the chance to communicate on HF in the near future!
