For those interested, I have just submitted 25 new TGs to the Cary/Wake system for the Wake County side. Hopefully they won't take long to be added. Some, as marked below, have encryption, most do not. They included the following;

46897, WSO CID 6, WSO CID 6, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF
46898, WSO CID 7, WSO CID 7, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF
46899, WSO CID 8, WSO CID 8, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF
46900, WSO CID 9, WSO CID 9, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF

47128, WTCC PD 4, WTCC POLICE 4, LAW TAC, WAKE TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE
47129, WTCC PD 5, WTCC POLICE 5, LAW TAC, WAKE TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE
On these two bunches. You have WSO CID # and, WTCC PD, twice on the same lines. Am I missing something about why you did that?

I have no idea what you are saying, WSO is in one group, Wake Tech is in another, all have different talkgroup IDs. Both are two different agencies.

Yes, They are two different groups. But, The way you listed them:

'46897, WSO CID 6, WSO CID 6, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF
46898, WSO CID 7, WSO CID 7, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF
46899, WSO CID 8, WSO CID 8, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF
46900, WSO CID 9, WSO CID 9, LAW TALK, WAKE SHERIFF'

You have 'WSO CID #' listed twice in each line. Why more than once per line. Also, On the Cary/Wake25 page: Cary/Wake P25 Trunking System, Cary, North Carolina

46897 - CID 3
46898 - CID 4
46899 - CID 5

Now, Do you understand what I am trying to convey?

Yes now I understand and that is because of the way they were submitted to the database, TG, Alpha Tag, (some De if partially encrypted), Description, Svc Type, Agency

Ah, How about the TGID discrepancy?

Because after months of scanner running on wildcards for the system, recording 24/7, and listening to those recordings, they were in need of updating especially with the addition of the new TGs found.

47217 appears to be Knightdale City Services (IE Parks & Rec, and others). They are also using W Event 6 for the 4th celebration tonight.

Meanwhile Raleigh seems to be on W EVENT 1 and fully encrypted for their fireworks tonight.

So,
46987 - CID 6, is CID 3?
46898 - CID 7, is CID 4?
46899 - CID 8, is CID 5?

Okay if it is that confusing I will be happy to STOP submitting and giving change notices on here for the Wake system.

It's a CID channel, exactly what channel number it is who knows, I simply listed them from lowest to highest, but in the future I won't submit changes any more, since I make it too confusing.

You aren't making it confusing. I am just asking for confirmation.

@spencerwww Raleigh-Wake ECC (Emergency Communications Center) alerts 75% of the fire companies in Wake County, and all of the EMS units in Wake County (154.1900 for fire 156.2250 for EMS as well as 800 mhz trunked). There are 59 different "OPS" and "PS TAC" channels that are randomly assigned for each event. Cary PD controls a few of those channels, and Wake Controls the other channels.

NONE of the Fire or EMS alerting is encrypted, and NONE of the OPS or PS TAC channels are encrypted. You can find the breakdown of those TG's here: Cary/Wake P25 Trunking System, Cary, North Carolina (radioreference.com). I actually broadcast Cary Fire Dispatch and all 59 OPS and PS TAC Channels here: Wake County Fire (broadcastify.com) .

I feel like I receive significantly less traffic since the P25 switch. I never hear any WCSO traffic and barely any Fire traffic; pretty much the only thing I hear regularly is EMS. I’m pretty much a noob so I’m sure it’s something I programmed wrong on my SDS100.

I have just the Wake County P25 site added and not the Cary site since I’m not interested in Cary’s traffic. Is that the correct way to do it?

I partially agree with you. Certain TGs' are more active during the day and, certain TGs' are more active at night. I have it split into two systems'. So, Even with Cary/Wake25 being simulcast. I can still hear both cleanly on my BCD325p2, even though. It does not have simulcast capability.

As far as the WCSO, I have seen that, too. The Raleigh FD is the most active FD.

How are programming your SDS100?

And @Chris0516 you guys have your scanners wrong. The “Wake County P25” system was deprecated and all traffic (including RFD) was moved over to it. I think the traffic you are hearing is just simulcasted still on the old system. Look at the talk groups on the Cary/Wake P25 page and you’ll see everything you want to hear is there: Cary/Wake P25 Trunking System, Cary, North Carolina
