Just read some interesting news in this article about Waldo County upgrading their whole entire communications system. I looked for meeting minutes somewhere where they happen to be in talks about doing this but found none. I'm hoping this doesn't mean they drank the digital koolaid but who knows. I cant see them upgrading every fire department to digital seeing how much of a burden on the poor towns it would be but who knows. Maybe they will stick with analog. I do know their current system has constant problems and quite a few dead zones. Cell phone reception is no better. The S.O. has constant issues with no reception on their radios or phones.
