Anyone know why Wallingford FD stopped simulcasting on their VHF freq a couple of weeks ago. Yes I know they are on a P25 II system. But it was nice listening to them on now phase II radios.

As I said before can't pick up PD or FD where I live in Hamden. If the FD is digital, what are their new frequencies. Database still shows the old analog VHF frequencies 154.220, etc.....

It must be your in a bad spot or need a higher outside antenna. I pick up Wallingford in most areas of Hamden on the p25 II system. Are you positive you have it programmed correctly? Have you gone to Wallingford and heard it on your scanner? Anyways my original question was about the old VHF analog freq 154.22 that they were simulcasting on. It went quiet about 2 weeks ago.

Leadjammmer, Sorry I just went back and read your old posts about Wallingford. Your prob. in a bad spot or your outside antenna isn't cutting it in their direction for the p25 system.

When they switched over to the trunk system, the audio level of the high band simulcast became extremely low. Even setting my volume level on my BC996P2 to +3 wasn't cutting it. I'm assuming it has something to do with how they were putting the digital over analog. It never got corrected so I stopped listening to it. If it helps, I've been listening to them on one of those temporary affiliated talk groups (65392) that's not so temporary off of the "L" system. Someone must have a radio permanently turned on for monitoring in the same location. Maybe a portable? I've been listening to them on it for over a month now.

In the CLMRN system they are coming up with a temp ID 65400, loud n clear.

Don't expect that patch to always be on that talkgroup. 65,000 thru 65,535 talkgroup IDs are roaming channels and can change at any time

Yes their P25 PII system is working fine. I was referring to their VHF freq they simulcast dispatch on.
