The Wallowa County Sheriff's Office has been awarded 2.75 million Federal grant to upgrade emergency radio communications across the county. This project will replace outdated equipment, provide new radios for first responders, and expand coverage into areas that currently have little or no reliable communications service.
This funding comes at a critical time for Wallow county" , said Sheriff Ryan Moody, who submitted the grant. "Upgrading our radio system will greatly improve responder safety and out ability to serve the public during emergencies."
