Walton County 800 TRS (433B) Fire Ems TG Changes Expected

Walton County Fire, Monroe Fire, Social Cirle Fire, and Loganville Fire along with
Walton County EMS may soon be going to one dispatch channel for
all departments.
If this does happen, all the departments involved will submit their dispatch
channels and TAC channel for a new list of TAC channels which will be assigned
upon dispatch of a new incident.
All heads of the departments affected met on 10/22/2004 with the 911 committee
to discuss this matter.
All signs point that this is going to happen, and the implementation will be soon.
Updates will be made as soon as this happens.

ADDITIONS TO THE WALTON COUNTY PLAN

IN ADDITION TO THE TG CHANGES, THE PLAN IS ALSO TO
RE-NUMBER ALL FIRE STATIONS AND APPARATUS IN ORDER
TO ELIMINATE UN-NECESSARY CONFUSION THE DUPLICATED TRUCK NUMBER ASSIGNMENTS MAY CAUSE
FOR THE DISPATCHERS.

RIGHT NOW, THE ONLY THING THAT IS CLEAR ON THE RE-NUMBERING
IS THAT THE CITY OF MONROE FIRE DEPARTMENT WILL
BE DESIGNATED AS STATION 1 (ONE) SINCE IT IS THE OLDEST
FIRE COMPANY IN THE COUNTY (DATING TO APPROX 1906).
