There are just a few frequencies in the salt lake area that I can't seem to find. First, is there a frequency that the DPS helicopters run of of? Second, I am curious as to what frequencies kutv and ksl's helicopters use. Where is a good place to get the local ski patrol frequencies? And, last of all, does anybody know the frequencies for salt lake and davis county search and rescue pagers? I know it's a lot of questions but I can't find anything anywhere. Thanks.

The DPS Helicopter runs off the UHP talkgroup (when it is in the air) or on what ever agencies frequency they are assisting.

I have seen the freq for the news helicopters but I can't remember wher I seen them. I will keep looking and let you know if I find them.

There is a trunked system for Alta in the database which has ski patrol on it, don't know about the others.

Don't know about S.A.R. pagers. I always hear them on the SO Code 1 (Tac 1) channel when they are working an avalanche in the canyons. I was in Wasatch County the other day and heard Wasatch/Summit S.A.R using their channel.

news choppers

I just found out the answer as to what the news choppers use. Kutv's sky 2 uses 450.1125 while Ksl's chopper 5 uses 450.250. Both were used during that big avelanche at the canyons.

Snowbird's snow safety uses 466.450 TX and 461.450 RX There has been talk about doing something else but as of right now there is nothing in the budget for a new radio system.
