Craig Palm was heading for home early Monday morning when what looked like a white, unmarked police car flipped on its lights near 74th Street and Nieman. He heard someone give him an order. But something didn't seem quite right.

"I've been pulled over before. They've never told me where to pull over, so that kind of piqued my interest," Palm told KMBC's Martin Augustine.

Palm said that when he looked into his rearview mirror, he saw two men getting out of what he thought was the police car, only neither man was wearing a uniform and one even threw a bottle of some sort into the grass.

"When the bottle hit the grass, the gas pedal was on the floor," Palm said. "You're not going to see a cop litter in front of you."

Palm sped away and went to police and filed a report. According to the report, there was no evidence of any other police agency making a traffic stop at that time.

Augustine reported that there currently is no active investigation, but officers will be watching closely for any similar incidents.
