Warren Co Sheriff

According to FCC grants approved 11/02, there is a new frequency of 854.0625 licensed to the Warren County Sheriffs Office. According to te grant it has one FB and 90 mobiles. Does not seem to be connected with the Warren County Public Safety trunk system. Have not monitored anything on it yet. Any ideas?

This is a Mototrbo system which can not be monitored by any scanner. Looks like they may have wanted a secure system for some or all of their sheriff ops/or it may be for future use.

Thanks Ohio63. I figured as that being the case since numerous other agencies are making the swing to either TRBO or NEX. I had been involved with City/County Govt comm planning a few years ago prior to retirement and were looking into upgrading our Moto smartnet. I would suspect our local system will, at some point, go to a Project 25/TDMA system or other.

Eligibility says, "This repeater and portables will be used in the justice center to coordinate the baliffs and prisoners."
