Does anyone know if rebanding will affect fire and rescue in Warren County.

I am looking to purchase a mobile scanner and the deals at Radio Shack are very good.
I would love to buy one of the mobile units, but not if they will be useless after rebanding

thanks
Mark

There's no 800 MHz in Warren County except for the JCP&L, NJSP, and NJ Transit systems.

Heh, good point. Thanks for the correction. I have no clue why I thought it was 800 MHz.

one thing I can tell you being a former Warren County Dispatcher is that within the next 6 months all Fire/EMS Agencies along with the Hazmat team and Fieldcomm Units and I am pretty sure OEM units are going to be using the new Warren County Alert Channel. Its
159.180 pl 162.2. Its currently in operation as DPWEMERGENCY but once they get everything in place it should transmit simultaniously off of atleast 4 or 5 towers I think. Will get more info posted when it comes available.
